Prep · Set up

Atlas · Open the sample tree in the Atlas planner (button above). Confirm you’re on the connected path — don’t freestyle a disconnected grab of scarab nodes.
Hideout · Cap elemental resists. Scarab-juiced packs hit harder than empty whites.
Map Device · Pick a white or yellow map. Use at most 1–2 cheap scarabs (or none on the first loop) — this strategy teaches sustain, not mirror juice.

Map · Run

2 steps

Map · Run the map with a clear goal: finish content you opened. Don’t full-clear every side path on intro loops.
Map · If a scarab mechanic spawns (Ambush, Breach, etc.), play it cleanly once. Leave if you’re unsafe — a dead character costs more than a skipped pack.

Extract · Loot

Hideout · Vendor junk. Stash scarabs and map currency. Note which scarab types dropped — that informs your next buy.
Hideout · Identify one friction point (damage type, density, boss, inventory). Write it down or remember it for Upgrade.

Upgrade · Improve

2 steps

Atlas / Gear · One small upgrade only: a life/resist fix, or a single Atlas node toward more scarabs/maps — not a full re-spec.
Map Device · Roll the next white/yellow map. Ready to run again when Prep is still checked.
