Privacy Policy

PoE2Source (poe2source.com) is a free, fan-made companion site for Path of Exile. This page explains what information the site does and doesn't collect. The short version: there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing you do here is sent to us or stored on a server we control — your progress lives only in your own browser.

Information we don't collect

PoE2Source has no user accounts, no sign-up or login forms, and no contact or newsletter forms on the site itself. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information, and we have no database of visitor information.

Your guide progress (local storage only)

When you check off steps in a leveling guide or set a class preference, that information is saved using your browser's local storage — a small amount of data your browser keeps on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or to any server; we have no way to see it. It stays on the device and browser you used, persists between visits until you clear it, and clearing your browser's site data for poe2source.com (or using a different browser or device) will reset it.

Cookies & tracking

PoE2Source does not set its own cookies and does not run analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind — no Google Analytics, no ad networks, no third-party trackers, as of this policy's last update. If that changes (for example, if we ever add analytics to understand traffic, or ads to help cover hosting costs), we'll update this policy first and note the change in the “Changes” section below.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's infrastructure automatically processes standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) to serve pages and keep the service secure and reliable — this is normal web-hosting operation, not something PoE2Source directs or has separate access to. Donations

PoE2Source is funded by voluntary donations rather than ads. Where and how to donate isn't finalized yet; once it is, this section will describe the donation provider used and link to their privacy policy, since any payment is handled entirely by that third party — PoE2Source never sees or stores payment information.

Children's privacy

PoE2Source is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the site has no accounts or forms, this is naturally the case in practice as well.

Changes to this policy

If PoE2Source's data practices change — for example, if we add accounts, cloud-synced progress, analytics, or ads — this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
